Every transcriber has an obligation to proofread their own work before submitting it to the scrutiny of a certified proofreader. This workshop material looks at some of the common pitfalls that occur, and determines a systematic approach to intercept any deviation from the code. Five proofreading practice exercises are interspersed throughout the document. Answers to these exercises are included at the end of the document.
